Random holiday weekend wrap-up…

So this weekend Amber and I went out with Amy and Alex and they introduced us to the Nintendo Wii.  I have been wanting to play but have never had the chance… well i am not sure who had the most fun.  Amber loved it which is totally uncharecteristic of her to like video games.  But as usual, she was an over achiever and got all competitive on us.  Just look at her getting crazy in some of those shots.  So crazy that at one point her tennis swing got away and smacked abby in the nose!  I got a shot of her though to assure everyone she is allright!  Its true what they say, the Wii can be dangerous.  Then I started having a bit too much fun with the wide angle lens on the new full frame sensor camera I have.  The lens is designed for smaller cameras, so when you put it on my bigger camera you get some crazy cool distortion.  Hopefully amy and alex wont hate me forever for posting these cartoon pics of them!!!  Then later this weekend I played around with some silky smooth window light that was coming in.  Cooper of course cooperated and gave us some killer shots!  Ms. Joy had surgery earlier last week and  we went to visit her… all the kids were interested in the big metal brace on her leg!  Then just the other day Misty, James and Alaina came by and let the girls play together… Alaina is getting big!  She has caught up with Cooper!  Once she learns to walk… Cooper better watch out!  We had a blast this holiday weekend… I wish it would have been longer!   Then tonight we went and watch my lil’ sis Martha’s first cheerleading experience!  She did great and she looks so old!!! When did that happen?  Time flies…  God Bless.

NEW WEBSITE…

cooper swimming and random thoughts…

Just the other day we had a good ol’ time out in the yard with Cooper.  She loves the water and Abby loves being in the middle of things.  I can see we will probably be doing a lot of swimming once Cooper gets older!

A little business updates and news:
First I am sorry to all the portrait clients I have been having to turn away.  I appreciate your interest but at this particular time we are not accepting any family/child sessions.  We are working diligently on keeping up to date and on schedule with our wedding clients… and absolutely cannot do more than weddings right now.  However, we do see the light at the end of the tunnel and our getting close to being completely caught up and “done” with wedding proofing and albums.  As of right now I am hoping to announce a select few dates that I will be available for holiday sessions.  It really is about that time to start thinking about Holiday Cards.  Second, hopefully by the end of the week we will be updating the 2008 pricing.  Any clients that we have dealt with previously, we will honor the prices we discussed up until the end of September… if you do not have the package/date booked and reserved by then… we will roll over to the new 2008 pricing.  Thanks guys for dropping in on the blog and if you have any friends getting hitched… send them our way!  God Bless!

Chillin at Chili’s…

Cooper, Pops, JoJo, Amber, and I all went out to Chili’s after the wedding Saturday!  Cooper loved eating her corn dog and even enjoyed coloring and soaking up the nightlife!  The child’s plate was topped off with a tropical punch chiller that was a little too much for her.  She was funny trying to drink it though.

Golf…

Somebody very smart once coined the phrase, “A bad day of Golf beats a good day at the office!”  Most of the time I agree with that!  I mainly wanted to keep my blogging streak alive so I figured I would share a shot of the ol’ photographer sharpening up his golf swing.  I got bored the other afternoon so I took my camera out to the course with me.  That was a sight I am sure.  Luckily the traffic at the course was pretty slow!  God Bless!

PaPa’s 70th Birthday…

This afternoon we went over to Kristi and Jason’s at Warren to celebrate my PaPa’s 70th birthday.  Kristi and Jason just moved in their new house and just got all the walls coated with some funky color fresh paint.  Martha and I decided to try em out as backgrounds and use some tasty window light to make the pictures pop… we were having so much fun, it wasn’t too long everybody was wanting their picture taken!  Then we celebrated with cake and Cooper helped papa blow out the candles!

Golf with Cooper and The Little Rock Climbing Center

This morning Amber, Cooper, Abby, and I went and played a few holes of golf… Cooper was more interested in the golf cart than anything.   She did have a blast though… i know she is going to turn into my golfing buddy!  Amber snagged a shot of us leaving the green on one of the holes…

then this afternoon we met up with a group from our “newly-wed” sunday school class and went rock climbing at the little rock climbing center!  it was a lot of fun and i will definitely be going back some time.  ** also… a continuation from my camera geek post a couple days ago… most all of these images were taken at iso 3200!  the climbing center was pretty dark! **
